At S. Stibbards and Sons, care of the bereaved and their loved ones, entrusted into our care, is central to all that we do. As a sixth generation, family owned and managed company, we are proud of our heritage and traditions but understand that we live within a modern, diverse community, whose needs change over time.
Our new Head office and funeral home, Weir View House, is the culmination of 5 years of planning, 18 months of building and 156 years of experience and knowledge. Specifically designed to cater for the communities we serve and the needs of modern funeral service, we believe it to be one of the most advanced facilities anywhere in the United Kingdom.

We have designed our new facility to be a model for providing exceptional care, not only to those entrusted into our care but also their relatives and our hardworking dedicated colleagues, who provide the support and service our families rely on. In this modern society we are looking to showcase the very best that S. Stibbards and Sons offers to the whole community.
An inclusive approach
As part of our new care facilities, we have introduced additional options to support the funeral requirements for all faiths and cultures.
Food plays an important part in the grieving process for many cultures, so, at Weir View House we created dedicated access to catering facilities to assist a family fulfil this element of their grief journey.
We understand the importance of our service being at the hearts of our the local communities, and local offices will continue to operate as normal.
We look forward to continuing to provide funeral services and be trusted by the community in and around Southend, Castlepoint, Rochford and beyond.
